The Chickens Are Coming!!

We are waiting on our shipment of peeps and couldn’t be more excited.  We have everything we need for our little cheepers, I think: we have an aquarium with a lid, a heat lamp, cheep cheep food, and shavings. Darral, our 5 year old son, is tickled to pieces and can’t wait to meet his new charges – he’s taking care of them all by himself, he proudly states.

We are getting two Barnevelders and two Easter Eggers. We are not really sure what these guys will look like when they arrive – will they be cute, yellow, and fuzzy? Will they be friendly? We aren’t sure, although we eat a lot of chicken in this house, we don’t general meet a lot of chicken.
