Medical Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist

Location: Sacramento, CA Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a reputable healthcare organization in Sacramento to hire a Medical AR Specialist . This is a full-time, contract opportunity for our client and they're looking to hire ASAP!

Position Overview

As a Medical AR Specialist, you will play a critical role in the backend of the revenue cycle , focusing on aged claims management and revenue recovery. You’ll work closely with the revenue cycle team to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement from insurance payers, including commercial insurers, Medicaid, and Medicare . This role requires a strong understanding of payer guidelines, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet performance metrics and deadlines set by management.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve aged insurance claims to maximize revenue collection.
• Follow up with payers to ensure timely reimbursement and address denials or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of claim status and actions taken.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues and improve workflow efficiency.
• Monitor and report on AR trends and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals as outlined by leadership.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, AR, or revenue cycle operations.
• Proficient in working with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite .
• Strong knowledge of commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare payer requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to multitask , prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Tech-savvy and adaptable to multiple software platforms.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
