Position Summary:

The Warehouse Logistics Coordinator is a hands-on position responsible for physically handling, organizing, and coordinating cargo in the warehouse while ensuring smooth logistical flow of inbound and outbound shipments. This role combines physical labor with administrative coordination to ensure accurate cargo handling, efficient inventory movement, and on-time shipping/receiving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and move cargo and freight manually or using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying documents, counts, and conditions.
• Prepare orders for dispatch: picking, packing, labeling, and staging cargo.
• Coordinate with drivers and carriers to ensure proper scheduling of pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of cargo in designated warehouse locations.
• Maintain accurate records in the warehouse management system (WMS), including inbound/outbound logs and inventory adjustments.
• Communicate with logistics team, dispatchers, and supervisors about cargo issues, damages, or delays.
• Monitor cargo handling to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and stock accuracy.
• Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse or cargo handling role.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying warehouse conditions (heat, cold, standing long hours).
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory systems (WMS/ERP).
• Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow shipping/receiving procedures accurately.
• Team-oriented, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and drivers.
• Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) is a plus.

Work Conditions:

• Physically demanding role in an active warehouse environment.
• Must wear PPE and always comply with safety protocols.
• Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on operational needs.
