A fast-growing, mid-sized company is looking for a Sr. Director of Human Resources to lead its evolving HR function. Over the past five years, the company has scaled from 70 to over 300 employees, and they are now focused on rebuilding infrastructure to support continued growth. This is a newly scoped leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, and will be a critical partner in reshaping how HR shows up across the organization.

They are growing and investing in their people and processes. The right candidate will step into an environment thats ready for thoughtful change, with support from leadership to help redefine how HR drives business strategy

Job Details

As the senior HR leader for a rapidly scaling organization in the power infrastructure sector, you will serve as a strategic partner to business leadership and a people architect for the future of the company. This role is responsible for setting the overall team and talent strategy while ensuring people practices enable scalable growth, technical excellence, and a high-performance culture.

You will lead the full HR function, mentor a high-performing HR team, and act as a trusted coach to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Team & Talent Strategy

  • Define and lead the team and talent strategy in alignment with business goals.

HR Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the HR team to deliver functional excellence across all areas.
  • Cultivate a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and collaboration within the function.

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Support leaders in navigating complex people challenges and building strong, accountable teams.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders on org design, workforce planning, performance, and culture.

Performance & Growth

  • Lead the performance management strategy and execution of core talent processes including goal setting, feedback, succession planning, and annual rewards alignment.
  • Oversee talent acquisition to ensure high-quality hires aligned with workforce needs, project demands, and growth priorities.

Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Define, measure, and improve employee engagement.
  • Partner with leadership to translate insights into action, improving experience and retention.

Total Rewards

  • Lead competitive, equitable, and performance-aligned total rewards programs.
  • Partner with Finance on annual compensation planning, budgeting, and benchmarking.

Organizational Effectiveness & Change

  • Lead organizational design and change management efforts to support scale, agility, and evolving priorities.

HR Systems & Data Optimization

  • Optimize HRIS and people processes for data integrity, streamlined operations, and actionable insights.
  • Ensure systems support business insight, self-service, and compliance.

Qualifications & Expertise

  • 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 8 years in key functional areas such as performance management, talent, organizational design, and total rewards.
  • 3+ years leading HR teams.
  • Experience working in a midsize business 400-600 ees (must have)
  • Deep expertise in base pay, bonus, equity, and benefits programs.
  • Strong understanding of employee and labor law compliance.
  • Proven track record in organizational transformation and aligning people strategy to business goals.
  • Ability to leverage analytics to drive strategy and measure impact.
  • Bachelors degree required.
